Just bought this Dell XPS 27" all in one touchscreen. No problem getting it up and running the first night. The only change I made before having problems was uninstalling the Microsoft Office. Didn't want that installed because I had my own version and license, which I plan to install after completing Windows Updates. I haven't installed mine yet, just uninstalled the office that came preloaded on my system.
Blue screen of death showed up after that. Couldn't do anything. Finally brought up in safe mode and restored to default setting, saved and then it came all the way up. Then I attempted Windows Update but it wouldn't do that. Then in Windows Update and Recovery I did a Refresh. It took several minutes for it to complete the Refresh. Then I did Windows Update, installed all important updates that Microsoft had selected. Then tried to check for new updates to install any new ones and a few others that I previously didn't install because they weren't checked by Microsoft as important updates. Nothing else happens in Windows Updates. It won't show any more updates and sometimes just kicks me back to the desktop.
Next, I notice this error mssg showing: "Client Script, line 18: attempt to call a nil value"
What do I do to correct these problems? I'm a decent computer user for many years and haven't had these problems before. Thanks, Richard Johnson
