Dell Inspiron 17R - Reset error 0x400110020000100A

Hi,

I've had a problem when trying to restore my Dell Inspiron 17R to a factory reset of the Windows 7 it shipped with. Whether I try a factory reset or reset to an image made at an earlier point in time, I run into the error "0x400110020000100A" in just a couple of steps, and the system restarts all over again. I don't mind losing any data, and am quite at my wits end that I don't mind doing a clean install either. How do I proceed?
