I posed this question on the Eight Forum, but haven't received an answer.
I'm set up for Automatic Updates.
I happened to look at the Windows Update screen last night, and saw there were 14 IMPORTANT updates, and one optional update available. They were dated 8/12. Today is 8/14, and the Automatic Maintenance has run at least once since the updates became available. They are still sitting there.
The Update And Recovery, Windows Update screen shows, "We found new updates today and we'll install them for you soon". When is this suppose to happen?
I know I can install them manually, but why should I have to install the IMPORTANT updates myself? It usually works, but there has been a time or two when I did the manual install.
If you're running 8.1, and haven't done a manual update, can you check and see if they are just sitting on you computer too?
BTW, This condition is the same on both my Desktop and Tablet computers.
