My new Inspiron 2350 came preloaded with Windows 8.1. I ran through all the setup options and tried to do it without a Gmail password. It kept asking for one so I put it what I thought was my old one. It accepted it so I kept going. Once the computer was ready I checked and that email address doesnt exist as there are no enough characters. I then made a new one.
After restarting the computer it comes to the blue log in screen. It has my name, incorrect email address and a space for my password. I can't get any further than this screen. I am unable to change my email address. I tried to make one with the same user name but as I said earlier, it's too short and won't allow me to create an email with that name. As the account is wrong, I therefore can't use any password or retrieve one as it doesn't exist.
i I tried to use the recovery cd that came with the computer but I never got a chance to load the software for the external DVD player Which means it can't read the recovery disk.
Can an anyone help me to get into my new computer please!
