I have a Dell Inspiron 15 almost new and a Brother Printer MFC- that it is almost new too, both equipment worked without problem before I follow the steps to upgrade the Windows 8 to 8.1. After this upgrade, I can print and fax but I can't scan because the printer doesn't recognize my Dell Inspiron.
I have an older Toshiba that used the same above mentioned printer and I'm still able to print, fax and scan from this laptop.
It seems that the problem is due to the 8.1 Windows.
Also, I couldn't sync my phone using iTunes. This program can't recognize my phone.
Both issues with the scanning and syncing occurred after the upgrade.
I was reading the FAQ's in the Brother printer help and they recommended to uninstall the printer and the drivers and install them again.
I am not sure that this action will solve the scan problem. If so, I will continue with the sync problem.
Any of you have similar problems?
