We recently purchased an Inspiron all-in-one with windows 8. We also have windows phone 8. Now we are trying to set up SkyDrive and access some of the other features such as the store. We are trying to set up a Microsoft account (outlook.com). When we try to access skydrive the login page is populating automatically with our regular att.net email address. We have tried all the passwords which we normally use and none are valid. Now we tried to set up a new account and are told that our email address is in use. Also, there is a message which tells us that if we have a Windows phone we already have a Microsoft account, but we have no idea how to find this on our phone.
We tried emailing Microsoft support but there is insufficient information for them to do anything - they want a list of email addresses we have sent to and other things that we don't have because we never used the account.
It seems as though the account may have been setup on the computer at Dell. Is this possible?
Any advice will be appreciated.
