Hi!  I have a Dell XPS 12 duo running Windows 8 that will not boot.  When it boots, I get a blue screen that says the computer needs repair and to hit f2, f8, or f12.  When I hit F8, it just returns to same screen.  So it will not boot into the recovery program.

I can access setup.  I have run the diagnostics and everything reports out fine.   I did not make a recovery USB key for this computer, so I cannot try that, alas.ff

Using a BartPe usb key, I was able to boot the computer and check out the hard drive.  The recovery partition is still there and looks intact.

So, it looks like somehow the boot files were corrupted, and so Dell recovery cannot start,

Does anyone know if there is a way a to create a recovery USB key manually or do a manual reinstall from the recovery partion using the command line?

Thanks!

Walt.
