I have a dell inspirion 17N and I had it set up so it would keep the ratio of the resolution. But today I have used the teamviwer to show something to a friend and he changed resoliton to 800x600 and now I get widescreen no matter what the resolution is.
I don't think this post fits here, but I couldn't find a better place.
