transferring from documents to music

Bit of a windows 8 newbie question.

I pulled the hard drive out of my old broken dell laptop and downloaded all of my music on it to the new laptop.

So I have got all my cd's in my documents and I can't figure out how to transfer them to my music.

I don't doubt it is easy when you know how.

Any suggestions?
