Hi,
I have an XPS Ultrabook which has had it's SSD erased (long story). I have accessed the Dell Support page and downloaded the Recovery & Restore image (using the service tag) and used this to create the recovery USB.
Booting the USB, it does the drive diagnostics, then file checks (nothing to check so continues) and on to the backup stage. At the end of this, whether I skip or let it run through the "backup" it always then fails afterwards with: "Cannot create personality settings backup, required information are missing on system drive" and then it never lets me go on to the image reinstall process.
Can anyone suggest how to get this working? I just want to restore it to factory install which should be the downloaded image?
