Hi,
I tried to perform a system recovery a day ago because for some reason my programs were crashing on me. I let the system recovery run and when it went to restart the computer it went to the blue screen with error 0xc000021a.
It is a dell xps 15 laptop with Windows 8 64bit. I have performed diagnostics ePSA system assessment which is a dell program and it has come back clean.
I put in the operating disc and gone to system restore which it says it needs me to select an operating system and to cancel.
I have tried to refresh but it comes up with the drive is locked.
I have tried automatic repair but it comes up with error it cannot perform operation.
I have tried to install windows but it comes up with needing a driver for dvd, usb or something before it can continue.
Not sure what to do here. It is just a loop of opening dell screen then blue screen. I have the two options of F2 setup and F12 boot options.
I want to try and keep my files as this has occurred while I am traveling for 8 months!
Any help would be great
Matt
