Multiple problems after Windows 8.1 installation, help!!!!!

Hi,
So basically my old HD has died in the past 2 weeks. After reading here and there, I came to conclusion that I had no choice but to change it. So yesterday, I went to buy one and make the switch in my computer. Since I had to start from scratch now, I've decided to go with Windows 8.1 instead of Windows 7. So far, I've pass 6 hours trying to make it work without any success....

Here's the spec of my computer, maybe it will help you to tell me what to do:
<<< System Summary >>>

DELL XPS 8100
> Mainboard : Dell 0T568R
> Chipset : Intel H57
> Processor : Intel Core i7 860 @ 2800 MHz (max : 3666)
> Physical Memory : 8192 MB
> Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce GT 220
> Hard Disk : Seagate ST31000528AS (1000GB)
> Monitor Type : Samsung SyncMaster - 22 inches
> Monitor Type : Sony SONY TV - 72 inches
> Network Card : Broadcom NetLink BCM57780 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe
> Operating System : Windows 8.1

So, I didn't have any problem with the installation itself and been able to configure Windows. After an hour or so of installing again some basic programs and getting use to the new Windows, my internet connexion goes to limited to finally off. For this part, I've read that it's probably a problem with the new driver so I went to download an old one and it seemed to work (didn't really have a lot of time to test it).... if you know any other solution, let me know here!

The main problem now is that whenever I need to restart the computer, I get a blue screen saying:
Driver_Power_State_Failure. After that, I'm unable to boot my computer again since it stays on the opening blue screen. All I see is my cursor but nothing goes on. That is my main problem....

Solution I've tried so far:
I've boot my system with the CD and go in the troobleshooting. I tried the refresh but it says that there's no problem. I tried to reset the whole thing twice (so I had to go again with the configuration of Windows) and it does the same things all the time. (I tried once to update the 47 updates of Windows but there again when I restard it still freeze.)

So from what I read yesterday, the problem would be from a driver malfunction that I would need to delete. The thing is that on my last try I haven't really install any driver, it's just the basic Windows 8.1 configuration. I'm able to boot in Safe Mode but I don't know exactly what to do once I'm in there to fix the issue.

If someone could give me some advice or solution on how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated because I really don't know what to do anymore and everything I read on the problem doesn't seem to help me for now.
