When attempting to restore a system restart, Dell Backup and Recovery found the hard drive with the restore information but the start button never highlighted. Thinking it might need to process I left it alone for several hours but never got any farther..
I can see the folder of data on my external hard drive (20150328201433_BACKUP) and have downloaded and used the manual program to restore most of the data. However none of the settings or programs, including Microsoft Office were restored. The Outlook data file is also missing, the biggest loss of all.
Whenever I reboot, Backup and Recovery asks if I want to finish the restoration process. If I click yes, then the program comes up and selects the external hard drive but again the start button never highlights.
Is there a solution for this? It's been a long time since we backed up the Outlook data file so we're living without Outlook until we are certain that we can't get it off the external hard drive.
